Tulika Nair
When someone close to you is unwell, a good way to let them know that you are thinking of them is to send out a get well soon card. Use the unique ideas given ahead to create truly thoughtful cards.
Your closest friend is ill and she is going to spend a considerable amount of time in the hospital, eating unappetizing food, restricted to the bed, with not much for company.
While you visit her from time to time, it may be a good idea to give her something that will cheer her up and remind her that you miss her and can't wait for her to feel better. What better way to do that than giving her a get well soon card, albeit with a twist. Go through the unique ideas given here about making such cards a bit fun and thoughtful.

Ideas You can Use

The same old cards flood every card store and while they may mimic your feelings exactly, they may not be the most personalized things to give. Given here are some  more unique ideas that you can try out if you are looking for some thoughtful ideas.

Videotaping the Message

If you want the message to be personalized, there's nothing better than a videotaped message. Mobile phones equipped with cameras becoming cheaper by the day, it is a child's play to shoot a video with all her loved ones sending out their own messages to her.
Compile the entire footage into one video, add music and text messages, and send it out to her. Not only is the message sure to touch an emotional chord, it is a message that is forever.

On Wine Glasses

If you are artistic, you should definitely try this, especially if your friend loves wine and is presently a temporary teetotaler. Buy wine glasses or pick up old wine glasses. Now take paints for making stained glass and play around with different designs.
You can opt to have the message you want sent out divided between a set of glasses or have the same message repeated on each of the glasses. Paint out their favorite cartoon characters with text bubbles and funny messages. This is a funny and great twist on a traditional card.

Jigsaw Puzzles

You know your friend is bored with nothing to do and being bed ridden is not really helping the situation. In fact it is only making her more irritable by the minute. What can you do to make her spend some time constructively?
Make her a jigsaw puzzle. It does not necessarily need to be as well-defined and structured as a store-bought one but you can kill two birds with one stone by not only telling her how much you care about her, but also giving her something to do while recuperating.

Magazines

Is your friend a bookworm? Does she read almost anything she gets? If yes, then what could be a better idea to get her to feel awesome, then dedicating an entire magazine to her? Get her family and friends together and give each of them one page to design.
The content of the page, the art work, everything would be their responsibility. Once you have all the pages, compile it together and create a cover page with one of her best photos on it. This idea works well to get anyone feel like they are the princess of the world.
These are just some of the ideas that you can try out. The basic aim behind creating such a card is letting someone know how much you care about them, and how eager you are for them to get better. Make such a card for them and see their face light up.
