Making picture frames is a great way to spend your free time and using paper for it will make it all the more interesting. Moreover, you and your kids can have a great time by making these together and later use them to decorate the interiors of a classroom or your home.

Picture Frame from Card Paper

Frames can be made in various shapes like tree, house, doll, sack, and you can creatively add a picture to this.
Here, we will make a flower-shaped frame wherein you can stick a photograph in the center of the flower. In a doll-shaped frame, you can have your daughter's close up face photograph in place of the doll's face.
Things Required
  • A rectangular piece of cardboard
  • Crayons
  • Markers
  • Paint
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • A picture of your child's face
Procedure
Draw a big, simple flower on the cardboard with the stem and two leaves attached to it. Cut out this cardboard. Ask your kid to paint it using crayons and paints. Take the picture of your child and paste it using craft glue in the center of the flower.

Picture Frame from Decorative Paper

This is where your kids have a lot of scope to explore their creativity and come up with various ways to decorate the frame.
Things Required
  • Rectangular piece of black card paper
  • Dried flowers
  • Leaves
  • Seashells
  • Sea sand
  • Glitter
  • Transparent plastic sheet
  • Adhesive tape
  • Craft glue
  • A picture
Procedure
Place the picture on the center of the card paper and mark the rectangle. The rest of the place is your kids' area for decoration. They can use dried flower petals, leaves, seashells, or other decorative items to beautify this paper frame.
If they are making a frame using seashells, use blue paper. If you are using dried leaves and petals, it would be best to use black paper.
Once this is done, stick the photograph in the marked box. Then, cover the entire card paper using the transparent plastic sheet and secure it at the back using adhesive tape. You can use various decorative items like lace, golden or silver glitter, beads, etc., to decorate the frame. Kids can also color or draw freehand designs on the border of the frame.

Picture Frame from Colorful Tissue Paper

Things Required
  • White card paper
  • Colored tissue papers
  • White glue
  • Photograph
  • Craft knife
Procedure
The card paper should be of rectangular size and 2-3 inches bigger than the photograph that is to be framed. Place the photograph in the center of the frame and mark the borders. Remove the photo, draw another border ½ inch inside this border, and cut it out to make a hole.
Now, stick the white tissue pieces randomly on the frame using the white glue. Overlap to have a number of layers of tissues. Let the frame dry. You can draw some patterns on the frame using a marker. Stick the photo from the backside of the frame.
The aforementioned ideas will help your kids spend time in making some creative and interesting paper crafts. You can experiment with the types of papers, colors, and decoration items to have variations in these frames and make even more beautiful pieces.
