Hold the rope straight with both your hands.

Make a small loop in the center by crossing both the ends.

Hold the loop firmly in your left hand. Using your right hand, pull the rope from the left side, through the loop.

Pull the rope with your right hand completely through the loop. This smaller loop is called a bight.

With your left hand, pull both the dangling ends, and pull the bight with your right hand.

Now tighten the knot by pulling both the ends.
